HexiTherm™ Adhesives for Open Joist® Trusses
Open Joist® engineered wood trusses offer a variety of benefits over conventional truss designs including an eco-friendly, open-web configuration that also delivers superior strength and load-bearing capabilities.
The special performance characteristics of Open Joist trusses make longer joist spans without intermediate bearings and wider joint spacing possible, thereby reducing framing costs. They also substitute finger-joinery and adhesives for metal plates to reduce costs.
The unique fingerjointed construction of an Open Joist is the key to its strength and performance. A range of HexiTherm phenol-resorcinol adhesives are available to provide the ultimate water, heat and fire performance for these critical joints.
