HexiTherm™ Adhesives for
Glue-laminated Beams

Glulam beams provide a variety of benefits for ceiling headers, floor beams and trusses, including strength over long spans and beautiful aesthetics. Whatever your assembly, Hexion provides a broad range of phenolic- and melamine-based adhesives to meet your requirements.

LT Series

• Phenol-resorcinol (PR) and phenol-resorcinol-formaldehyde (PRF) resins
• Standard and accelerated versions for I-beam applications – range of cure speeds to fit individual plant conditions
• Intended for use with FM-6210 (PR) and FM-7400 (PRF) hardeners
• Designed for direct application
• Waterproof – for wet or dry use exposure
• Meets ASTM D-2559-84 and ASTM D-2559-97a specifications
• Meets requirements of ANSI 190.1-83(PS 56-73) for gluing West Coast softwoods and Southern Pine
• Not preferred for gluing hardwoods or wood treated with fire retardant salts
• Resin usable life of nine months at 70°C (hardeners’ stability varies)
• Very low formaldehyde emissions

AG Series

• Liquid phenol-resorcinol-formaldehyde (PRF) resins for use in gluing structural wood including glulam
• Available with a variety of formaldehyde and para-formaldehyde hardeners
• Set times from approximately 15 minutes to one hour
• Resin usable life of nine months at 70ºC (hardeners’ stability varies)
